Silicon Desk publishes a daily technology news episode — one story in depth plus two quick hits — to YouTube and other platforms, and runs this website alongside it. Using the site means these terms apply.
What the reporting is
Every episode is assembled from published reporting by other outlets and from primary documents such as company filings, court rulings and regulator notices. Every figure that appears on screen traces to at least two independent publishers, and the sources are listed in each video's description.
We take accuracy seriously and we still get things wrong. Reporting can be wrong at the source, a story can move after we publish, and a number can be misread. Nothing here is guaranteed to be complete, current, or correct.
What it is not
Episodes regularly cover company earnings, share prices, acquisitions, court decisions and regulation. None of it is financial, investment, legal, or professional advice. It is journalism about those subjects.
Do not make an investment or a legal decision on the strength of a three-minute video. Talk to someone licensed to advise you.
Corrections
If something is wrong, say so: hello@silicondesk.news. Material errors are corrected in the video description and, where the error is serious enough to change the story, in a later episode. We would rather be corrected than be quietly wrong.
Our material
The Silicon Desk name and mark, the scripts, the generated visuals, the score and the narration are ours. You are welcome to link to anything, quote a reasonable extract with attribution, and share the videos using each platform's own share tools.
Please do not re-upload episodes as your own, strip the branding, or use the name or mark in a way that suggests we made or endorsed something we did not.
Other people's material
Quotations, figures and factual claims taken from other outlets remain theirs and are used with attribution as reporting on matters of public interest. If you hold rights in something used in an episode and want it handled differently, email us and we will sort it out.
The email list
Giving us an address subscribes you to episode updates and nothing else. No advertising, no sponsored mail, no sharing the list. Ask and it is deleted — see the privacy page, which sets out exactly what is stored.
The site itself
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, or that it will be free of errors. We may change or remove any part of it.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using this site or acting on anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Other platforms
Episodes are published to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and TikTok. What happens on those platforms is governed by their terms and their privacy policies, not by these.
Changes
